Morrisons has given its More Card app a refresh, adding weekly personalised offers and a new shopping list feature, designed to make shopping easier and help customers get more value from their More Card.

The new tailored offers give More Card app users “sharper, hyper-personalised offers”, with six offers personalised to their shopping habits added each week, giving them either percentage discounts or extra More Points when they buy those items during the offer period.

Gareth Lloyd, Value & Loyalty Marketing Director at Morrisons, said that the move has “built on what customers already love” and will make the app easier to use and navigate.

“It’s all about ensuring our customers get maximum value and rewards tailored specifically to them,” he added.

The Morrisons More Card app will now also host a new Shopping List feature to help customers organise their shops.

When they run out of a household staple or favourite product, they can simply scan its barcode at home to add it to their list, ready for when they next go into store. Products are also organised on the Shopping List by aisle, helping customers navigate their local store and find what they need more easily.

This follows Sainsbury’s also launching a shopping list feature linked to its Nectar loyalty programme, on its app earlier this month.

SmartLists, a new AI-powered way to shop within the Sainsbury’s app, also helps customers plan their shops, create shopping lists, locate products in-store and manage budgets using Nectar Prices.

The new feature allows customers to create shopping lists by typing or taking a photo of what they need, which is matched to Sainsbury’s products, including Nectar Prices, with items added directly to online baskets.

In-store, an in-built Product Finder helps customers locate items, designed to make shopping easier for customers, whilst freeing colleagues’ time to focus on customer service and support.
