Supporting its return to the High Street, Bodycare has teamed up with Retail247, deploying its cloud-based stock management and Product Information Management (PIM) platforms to optimise inventory visibility.

The value Health & Beauty retailer, which started its raft of store openings with the launch of its Sheffield store last week, plans to open a further 17 stores this year as part of its High Street comeback, having been bought out of administration in October 2025.

Its bold vision sees Bodycare aiming to become the UK’s first AI retailer, underpinning its store expansion plan with innovation and community engagement. Each new store is designed to become a social content hub, generating hyper-localised content via staff, micro-influencers and customers in dedicated content studios and content creator spaces.

“Store experience, digital presence and community engagement – all underpinned by AI intelligence – will be central to Bodycare’s new vision, as we prepare to welcome customers back,” said Bodycare’s MD, David Stern.

To support this journey, Bodycare has selected Retail247‘s PIM platform, Origin, and its inventory system, Archean. In a LinkedIn post, Retail247 said the move would “establish robust retail foundations” to give the retailer “the visibility and control” needed for faster-decision making to improve stock availability and operational visibility to support growth.

Bodycare is working closely with PMC to design and deploy its tech infrastructure, which will see the retailer run all store operations through a proprietary, custom-built AI-platform.

PMC will support the end-to-end execution of Bodycare’s IT infrastructure, with a dedicated team of specialist digital architects from PMC designing and implementing the retailer’s full tech stream – from facilities management to security, core IT systems and digital in-store technology.

In addition, PMC will power Bodycare’s point of sale (POS) systems, from checkout to mobile POS and kiosks (SCO), via its Graphene Engage platform, as well as deploying Connect, its proprietary data integration solution, to deliver a robust orchestration layer that provides data ontology to the store alongside edge data flows that serve the retailer’s central AI engine.
