AI-native retail planning and inventory decisioning platform, invent.ai, has announced the appointment of Joe Groves as its new Global Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

Groves brings decades of experience scaling businesses having worked across high-growth retail technology platforms, leading high-performing international revenue organisations and driving measurable outcomes in complex, fast-moving markets. He joins invent.ai after spending over 20 years at Centric Software, where he led global expansion and strengthened market positioning for scale.

As first reported on RTIH, in his new role, Groves will oversee international growth at invent.ai, focusing on helping retailers turn operational data into real-time decisions that drive revenue, improve margins and optimise inventory.

“Retail isn’t just about plans, it’s about execution,” said Groves. “Margins are tighter, lead times are longer and planning stacks are lagging behind real-time demand. Invent.ai closes the gap between planning and reality, giving retailers the signals they need to act decisively.”

As retailers face mounting pressure to operate efficiently while responding rapidly to demand fluctuations, Groves’ appointment comes at a time when retailers are looking to technology to overhaul outdated systems and processes in planning and demand forecasting.

This has seen sustained momentum for invent.ai’s solution in the UK, having signed recent partnerships with major retailers and brands, including Iceland, Boots, Alo and Footasylum.

Multi-agentic AI, the architecture behind invent.ai’s platform, connects decisions across inventory, pricing, allocation and merchandising. By turning insights into immediate action, retailers reduce stockouts, cut forced markdowns and improve forecast accuracy to drive tangible revenue and margin growth.

“Most planning tools were built before real-time data existed,” added Groves. “Our platform gives allocation and planning teams a live signal, not a static report. That precision is what separates retailers who simply manage operations from those who consistently outperform the market.”

Under Groves’ leadership, invent.ai will expand its reach with retailers worldwide who demand actionable results, operational clarity and measurable business outcomes. His global perspective, honed over decades of driving global expansion, aligns with invent.ai’s strategic focus on helping enterprise retailers transform data into actionable decisions.

“The retailers outperforming the market aren’t just guessing less, they’re deciding faster,” said Gurhan Kok, Founder & CEO of invent.ai.

“Joe brings the expertise and vision to ensure our solutions reach the teams who need them most: those responsible for revenue, margin and operational efficiency. His leadership accelerates our mission to close the gap between plan and execution at scale.”

Focused on results, invent.ai is helping retailers turn data into decisive action. By connecting data, decisions and execution in real time, the company enables retailers to move faster than their competitors, protect margins and reduce inventory waste, turning complex operational challenges into clear, actionable insight for the teams who need it most.
