Iceland has rolled out a solution from invent.ai, a global leader in retail inventory optimisation and multi-agentic AI, to improve inventory and replenishment.

By leveraging invent.ai’s AI-powered platform, Iceland can now turn complex sales, supply and demand data into real-time operational actions at scale, ensuring that the right products are in the right place at the right time.

Keeping shelves stocked

“AI is giving us the visibility and control we’ve never had before,” said Matt Downes, Supply Chain Director at Iceland.

“We can now keep shelves consistently stocked with the products our customers want, reduce lost sales and improve the overall shopping experience across every store and distribution centre.”

The invent.ai platform goes beyond traditional forecasting by factoring in seasonal demand, promotions, new product launches and one-off anomalies. It automates replenishment decisions, providing operational teams with optimised stock recommendations that reduce waste, minimise stockouts and maximise sales opportunities.

Continuously learning from historical trends and adjusting for lost sales, the solution provides highly accurate forecasts and actionable guidance for every SKU across Iceland’s store network.

Faster operational decisions

With product availability overtaking price as the primary loyalty driver among UK grocery shoppers, Iceland can now make faster operational decisions and respond proactively to customer demand changes to improve product availability, enhance customer experience (CX) and maximise sales.

“Our focus is helping retailers translate complex data into tangible business outcomes,” said Farid Mohsen, VP of Strategic Accounts at invent.ai.

“By optimising inventory and automating replenishment decisions, we enable retailers to improve efficiency, increase product availability and deliver a better experience for every customer, every day.”

The partnership with Iceland follows invent.ai’s continued momentum in the UK market, having signed significant deals with leading brands, including ALO and Footasylum.

Invent.ai will also be speaking alongside its customer, Boots, at the Retail Technology Show (RTS), which takes place at London’s ExCeL on 22 & 23 April 2026.  Speaking on the Spotlight Stage at 2.50pm on 22 April, Boots’ Senior Transformation Manager, Ann Fooks, will join invent.ai’s Farid Mohsen to discuss how clients are leveraging AI-decisioning to optimise forecasting and inventory while improving visibility throughout its supply chain.

Invent.ai will also be showcasing its full suite of multi-agentic AI solutions, which help retailers turns data into real-time decisions, at RTS on booth #J48. To find out more, or to book a meeting with invent.ai at RTS, visit: https://www.invent.ai/events.
