Temu will partner with testing, inspection, and certification solution, QIMA, to strengthen product compliance and safety across its platform, aimed at providing safer and more “trustworthy” shopping experiences.

QIMA’s testing and certification services, which include product testing, on-site factory inspections and digital compliance tools, will be integrated into Temu’s Seller Centre, making compliance resources available to sellers.

The product testing services will initially span electricals and electronics, jewellery and food contact items, with testing conducted against regulatory and safety standards. QIMA will also conduct on-site factory inspections for selected sellers to verify production processes and supply chain practices at the source.

“Temu prioritises the safety of products on our platform, and our partnership with QIMA is a concrete step in that direction,” said a Temu spokesperson. It added that the QIMA partnership would offer “safe and trustworthy” shopping experiences for customers.

“As ecommerce platforms serve more markets and more product categories, independent compliance infrastructure becomes essential,” said Pierre-Nicolas Disser, CEO of Consumer Products, QIMA. “This partnership is a step toward making compliance testing and certification a routine part of how [Temu] sellers operate.”

Last year, Temu invested ~$100million globally in compliance, product safety and quality control, and said it plans to double that investment in 2026.
