URBN will expand its use of AI-native Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution, Bamboo Rose, a leading end-to-end solution provider for product development and supply chain management.

Extending its use of TotalPLM with Bamboo Rose’s Create platform, URBN’s design and merchandising teams across its portfolio – which includes Anthropologie, Free People and Urban Outfitters – will gain greater visibility into estimated product costs at the concept stage, before samples are made or suppliers are engaged.

URBN already uses TotalPLM for product development, sourcing, purchase orders and global trade management. The new deployment will let design and merchandising teams see initial cost estimates as concepts take shape, helping them assess margin potential, compare options and make informed decisions earlier. It also means approved concepts can then move directly into development without rekeying data, further speeding up the PLM processes.

Against a backdrop of changing tariffs, sourcing pressures and margin expectations, early decisions are now even more consequential. Earlier cost visibility helps teams weigh trade-offs before investing in development, reducing the risk of costly redesigns, supplier changes or dropped products.

“Bringing our design and development workflows together on one platform allows everyone to act on the same information in real time,” said Dan Stockbridge, Director of Production and Sourcing Systems at URBN.

“Bamboo Rose helps us simplify our day-to-day workflow and see costs earlier, so our teams can move faster and spend more time focused on great design,” he added.

“Creative decisions shape margins long before a purchase order is placed,” said Matt Stevens, CEO of Bamboo Rose. “Decision Intelligence unlocks the value of historical data and automatically surfaces key insights within design, product development, and sourcing workflows. This enables companies like URBN to optimise margins earlier, reduce rework and move promising ideas into development faster and with greater confidence.”

Bamboo Rose will be showcasing TotalPLM at NRF 2027 in January at booth #4042.
