Bodycare and commerce specialist, PMC, have been shortlisted for two 2026 Retail Technology Innovation Hub (RTIH) Awards for their partnership in designing and delivering the digital infrastructure powering the value-led health & beauty retailer’s new store network.
Named as finalists in both the Bricks and Mortar and AI Innovation (UK) categories, the partnership has been recognised for bringing cutting-edge innovation and live AI use cases to physical retail environments.
As Bodycare continues its High Street comeback at pace, having already opened five stores in Sheffield, Derby, Leicester, Bradford and Dudley, its partnership with PMC is bringing its vision of a connected, immersive and AI-first store estate to life.
Blending commerce and experiences in-store, Bodycare now runs all store operations through its proprietary, custom-built AI platform, AIMEE, which connects data across customers, inventory, trends, social content and store performance to continually improve decision-making.
Each store also features a dedicated, free-to-use content production studio, allowing creators and micro-influencers to generate hyper-localised content that drives community engagement, as well as informing inventory allocation based on live demand signals. Since July, RTIH reported that Bodycare has onboarded 673 creators, generating 7.5million views across its creator network content.
To enable this vision, PMC designed and delivered Bodycare’s digital architecture from the ground up, creating the connected infrastructure required to support its extensive in-store technology ecosystem.
This included deploying PMC’s Graphene Engage platform to power traditional, mobile and self-service checkout (SCO) experiences, alongside its Interact digital display solution, which transforms screens across the estate into interactive customer touchpoints. Together, these technologies enable dynamic promotions, hyper-localised community content and user-generated content (UGC) takeovers informed by live store data.
“We’re thrilled to have been shortlisted in two RTIH Innovation Awards,” said Bodycare’s CMO, Tash Courtenay-Smith.
“From the hugely positive reaction from communities where we’ve opened new stores to the viral buzz being driven online by our content creator network, this recognition from the RTIH Awards marks another milestone in bringing Bodycare back to the High Street.”
Elliott Winskill, Technology & Solutions Director at PMC, and who is also acting as Technical Lead for Bodycare, added that “Bodycare is bringing value-led beauty back to the High Street with a bang, proving what a bold vision, powered by technology and communities, can achieve.”
“To be recognised by the RTIH Innovation Awards – a hallmark of innovation excellence in the industry – for helping create a new blueprint for bricks-and-mortar retailing is further validation of the momentum behind Bodycare’s comeback,” Winskill said.
