B&Q will extend its Deliveroo partnership to more than 100 stores nationwide, as it looks to expand the ways it can deliver convenience to customers. Shoppers can now access over 9,000 home improvement products through the q-commerce platform, with orders delivered in as little as 35 minutes.

“Deliveroo customers frequently use the platform for their home improvement needs, as they seek out quick and convenient delivery during those DIY emergencies,” said Suzy McClintock, VP of Consumer at Deliveroo.

“By expanding our partnership, more customers can keep those home improvement projects moving, with access to what they need, when they need it… whether it’s paint or power tools,” she added.

B&Q has also partnered with on-demand courier platform Gophr to enhance its fulfilment options for TradePoint, allowing two hour deliveries or a pre-booked two-hour slot same-day for TradePoint members.

The service is currently live in B&Q’s standalone TradePoint store in Barking as well as 123 participating B&Q stores nationally and is expected to expand to further stores later this year.

“Time is one of the most valuable resources for trade professionals,” commented John Morgan, Director of TradePoint. “TradePoint Express has been designed to help our members spend less time collecting materials and more time focused on the job… providing a flexible same-day delivery service that helps keep projects moving and supports customers when timing matters most.”

“The launch of TradePoint Express and the expansion of Deliveroo to more than 100 stores are important steps in giving both trade and retail customers greater flexibility through a range of delivery options designed to suit different project needs,” said Amélie Gallichan-Todd, Supply & Logistics Director at B&Q. “As customer expectations continue to evolve, we’re focused on making it easier for them to get the right products, exactly when and where they need them.”
