Asda has announced a new partnership with InPost, the out-of-home locker provider, which will see the supermarket install parcel lockers across its UK store estate.

Going live across 700 stores nationally, the tie-up will give Asda customers convenient new ways to send, collect and return parcels while they shop, and marks one of InPost’s most significant UK retail partnerships to date.

The rollout forms part of Asda’s continued investment in services that make life easier for customers and enhance the convenience of shopping in-store.

“Our unmatched mix of services is a key part of what sets Asda apart, and we know customers increasingly value the convenience of being able to tick off multiple tasks in a single trip,” Joseph Sutton, Director of Express, Fuel & Wholesale at Asda, commented.

This rollout gives customers a fast and flexible way to collect and return parcels, seamlessly fitting around their weekly shop and making everyday life a little easier.”

The lockers will be installed across a mix of Asda superstores, supermarkets and Express locations, enabling customers to collect, send and return parcels at a time that suits them.

The launch builds on the growing demand for out-of-home delivery solutions, as consumers increasingly look for greater flexibility and control over when and where they send and receive parcels.

“Asda’s scale and nationwide footprint give us a significant opportunity to bring InPost Lockers closer to millions more people,” Paul Selvey, Network Director at InPost UK, said. “Partnerships like this are helping change the way people think about parcel delivery and making lockers an increasingly established part of the UK delivery landscape.”

As part of InPost’s growing UK network of more than 16,000 lockers, the partnership underlines the accelerating shift towards out-of-home delivery in the UK. The commitment to install up to 700 Lockers across Asda’s estate will significantly broaden access to InPost’s network and strengthen the role of lockers as a mainstream alternative to traditional home delivery.
