AI operations platform, Seel, has launched a new 1-click resale capability, which allows shoppers to recover value from their purchases once they are no longer eligible for a return or refund.

By making resale available in the same portal where shoppers manage their orders, the solution offers customers a fast and convenient way to resell goods, supported by AI agents.

“Consumers shouldn’t have to lose out just because a return window closes. Resale gives shoppers more flexibility and a simple way to recover value from items they no longer need,” said Zack Peng, Founder & CEO of Seel.

Already being used by retailers including Debenhams Group, the new solution from Seel allows consumers to select the item they’d like to resell within its Order Centre as well as a minimum price they’d accept for the item.

The platform’s AI agents then take over, creating listings across multiple second-hand marketplaces using available product data and information. They then autonomously run auctions, updating pricing and, if given permission, message potential buyers to move the sale forward. Once sold, the agents then automate fulfilment and remove the item from other resale channels to avoid duplication.

Dan Finley, Group CEO of Debenhams Group, which is already using the solution, described the flexibility it was offering customers post-purchase.

“Resale gives our customers a better outcome when a return isn’t possible, adding flexibility to the post-purchase journey while creating a way to stay connected to shoppers even after the initial sale,” he said.

“It helps turn a potentially frustrating moment into a more positive post-purchase experience, while giving us another way to support customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.”

“Resale also extends the post-purchase experience for merchants in a way that builds trust, reduces friction, and strengthens the overall customer relationship, creating lasting value beyond the initial sale in a shopping environment increasingly driven by ecommerce,” Peng added.
