Tech retailer, Currys, has partnered with Metapack, a ShipStation Global® brand and leader in ecommerce delivery management, to support its delivery operations.

Leveraging Metapack’s intelligent delivery platform, Currys will offer customers more delivery options at the checkout, while improving real-time visibility on orders, from dispatch to the doorstep.

Choice remains key for shoppers when it comes to enhanced delivery experiences, with research from Metapack’s Ecommerce Delivery Benchmark Report showing 61% of UK consumers are now willing to pay for premium delivery options, a 11 percentage point year-on-two-year rise.

“We’re pleased to be partnering with Metapack, making it easier than ever before for customers to shop with Currys,” said Simon Boss, Director of Logistics and Home Delivery at Currys.

“The technology will help us respond quickly to demand and deliver a more seamless shopping experience for our customers. It’s just one part of our mission to help everyone enjoy amazing technology.”

The move will also help the retailer open up carrier connectivity, blended with data intelligence, to improve customer experiences, business performance and reduce costs.

“Currys understands what delivery has become: a genuine driver of loyalty, revenue and brand reputation,” said Mark Honeyben, SVP and MD Europe at ShipStation Global. “The retailers leading in this space are those treating every post purchase interaction as an opportunity, not an obligation, and our platform gives Currys the intelligence and scale to do precisely that.”

Last week, Metapack and OneStock announced a strategic partnership to improve end-to-end fulfilment experiences, enables retailers to make promises at checkout knowing that they can be met in execution.

The combined solution is expected to enable retailers to drive +10% increase in conversion rates at checkout through transparent, reliable delivery choices, optimised orders fulfilled via existing store networks to cut shipping costs and fewer WISMOs.
