MoEngage, has announce the acquisition of agentic AI solution, Aampe, to “complete its vision” of a scaleable and unified Agentic Customer Engagement Platform.
Marking MoEngage’s first acquisition, the move will help marketers, ecommerce and growth teams leverage autonomous agents to drive true 1-2-1 personalisation and engagement at individual customer-level.
As AI adoption grows, almost two thirds of UK shoppers want to use agentic AI in their buying journeys, according to new research released this week from Commerce and PayPal.
However, separate research from Quickfire Digital points to personalisation holding AI-purchasing experiences back; its poll suggests nearly half (45%) of shoppers are frustrated by current AI-led shopping experiences, with generic recommendations and engagement key friction points.
Using its agentic infrastructure, Aampe’s solution learns from processing over 200 billion decisions a week, allowing marketers to define content, goals and guardrails, while AI agents handle the decisions, message composition and iterative messaging for each shopper.
Aampe’s capabilities will integrate with MoEngage’s Merlin AI agents, which are already being used by brands including Loblaws and Soundcloud, and help digital teams build content, launch campaigns, design customer journeys and surface insights with greater efficiency.
This, MoEngage said, would deliver AI “scale, without sacrificing human relevance.”
