Real-time customer feedback solution, TruRating, has announced the appointment of Simon Hay as its new Board Advisor, further strengthening its strategic leadership to accelerate growth across global retail markets.
Hay brings more than four decades of experience at the forefront of the customer data revolution in retail. As the first employee of dunnhumby, he played a foundational role in the development of Tesco Clubcard and later led the expansion of dunnhumby into the U.S. through its landmark partnership with Kroger.
Known for driving transformation at the intersection of data, strategy, and culture, his appointment comes at a pivotal moment for TruRating, as retailers increasingly seek to connect customer experience directly to business performance metrics, including conversion, basket size, loyalty, and lifetime value.
“Retailers win when they have the deepest understanding of the shopper built with rich and timely data,” said Hay. “What excites me about TruRating is the ability to capture verified human data at the key moment when the customer pays.
“Simon has had a profound and lasting impact on the retail industry,” said Georgina Nelson, CEO of TruRating. “What has always stood out to me is his ability to connect customer insight directly to commercial growth.
“When you truly understand your customers, in the moment and at scale, you unlock a completely different level of performance. I’m genuinely thrilled to welcome him to the team as we continue this next chapter together,” Nelson added.
Hay will serve as a strategic advisor to TruRating’s leadership, supporting continued innovation and expansion as the company helps retailers translate customer feedback into actionable insight at scale.
