Micro-donation charity, Pennies, will mark a decade-long partnership with the Retail Technology Show (RTS), returning as the official Gold Charity Partner of retail’s flagship event, which takes place on 22 & 23 April 2026 at London’s ExCeL.

During Pennies and RTS’ 10 year partnership, the charity has enabled more than 275million micro-donations, raising £65million+ for good causes, which have supported over 980 charitable organisations.

Since first attending RTS in 2017, Pennies has grown significantly from around 60 partners to more than 200. Last year, Pennies announced new partnerships with B&Q, launching micro-donations at checkouts across its UK&I stores, and Currys, through an integration with Stripe.

“RTS continues to play an important role in championing the micro-donation movement,” said Alison Hutchinson CBE, CEO of Pennies.

“It’s incredibly meaningful to reflect on the strength of partnerships like this one. Over the past decade, the show has connected us with forward-thinking retailers, hospitality brands, and the technology and payments partners who help us to make digital giving possible.”

Pennies joins 450+ retail innovators at RTS 2026, as the event gears up to deliver its biggest ever innovation showcase.

Exhibiting on Stand Z55 at RTS, Pennies will be joined by 15 of its tech partners, demonstrating the breadth of its partner network. It will also highlight how retailers can leverage micro-donations to drive impactful change.

Pennies will also lead a panel discussion on Day 1 (22 April), when Mamas & Papas’ CEO Sarah Ashby, Debenhams’ ESG Director Sophie Rycroft, and RedCat Pub Group’s CEO Richard Lewis, join Hutchinson and Consumer Champion, Martin Newman, on-stage. Taking place at 1.55pm on the Spark Stage, the panel will explore how micro-donations can drive both customer engagement and loyalty.
