As the countdown for the Retail Technology Show (RTS) gets underway, there’s less than three weeks to go until the sector’s flagship event returns to London’s ExCeL on 22 & 23 April 2026.

Back with its new disco theme, this year represents RTS’ biggest ever innovation showcase, with 450+ innovators and technology providers exhibiting on a buzzing show floor.

We’ve scoured the innovation on offer and previewed our top ten tech picks you won’t want to miss during the two-day disco of digital transformation.

4POS

Stand Q18

One of Europe’s fastest growing shelf-checkout (SCO) brands, 4POS, will be showcasing its modular approach to in-store tech at RTS 2026, which helps retailers move away from costly ‘rip and replace’ POS strategies.

“POS architecture now influences far more than checkout performance, acting as the lynchpin that defines the cost structure of store operations, the speed at which new technologies can be deployed and the resilience of frontline infrastructure,” Craig Bevan, UK&I Country Manager at 4POS, commented.

4POS, which has recently completed a rollout of its assisted checkout solutions with Scotmid Co-op, will also be launching its new report at RTS. This highlights how AI adoption, rising infrastructure costs and sustainability pressures are prompting retailers to rethink traditional POS architecture to ensure stores remain innovation ready and future-fit.

Akeneo

Stand N18

Akeneo will focus on three major innovations reshaping AI-powered commerce: Akeneo Digital Showroom, Data Architect Agents and PX Insights, alongside its strategic partnership with Stripe.

As AI transforms how products are discovered, evaluated and purchased, Akeneo is demonstrating how brands and retailers can evolve from managing product data to executing with it. In an increasingly agent-driven economy, product information must be structured, governed and instantly actionable.

“AI is actively reshaping how products are surfaced, evaluated and purchased,” said Romain Fouache, CEO of Akeneo. “Retailers can no longer afford to treat product information as static content. In an agent-driven economy, product data must be structured, governed and instantly accessible in order to avoid becoming invisible.”

Invent.ai

Stand J48

Global leader in AI-driven retail solutions, invent.ai, will showcase its multi-agentic AI platform which transforms granular retail data into intelligent, coordinated actions

Delivering true autonomous AI-decisioning, this improves product availability, reduces overstocks, optimises pricing and responds dynamically to market shifts.

“Retailers no longer need to choose between speed and accuracy, they need systems that deliver both continuously,” said Gurhan Kok, Founder & CEO of invent.ai.

“At Retail Technology Show, we’ll demonstrate how multi-agentic AI orchestrates decisions across inventory, pricing and stores, creating an adaptive operating model that outperforms traditional tools by orders of magnitude.”

refive

Stand S70

In-store customer identification and engagement platform, refive, will demonstrate how bricks-and-mortar retailers can close the in-store data gap through smart digital touchpoints.

These include its Welcome Concierge, a touchpoint placed at store entrances that identifies returning customers – it then integrates with ad networks to deliver personalised offers from the moment a customer arrives in-store.

Its Digital Receipt feature converts the checkout moment into the start of an ongoing customer relationship, enabling one-click loyalty enrolment, retail media placements, coupon and gift card delivery, wallet pass integration, and post-purchase CRM campaigns.

SAI Group

Stand T60

Active intelligence solution for stores, SAI Group, will unveil new capabilities within its SAI One platform, which is already being used by retailers including Iceland, at RTS.

Its solution blends computer vision with GenAI to turn traditionally ‘passive’ store surveillance systems into an active, operational platform for real-time store intelligence.

“For years, stores have been blindsided by the constraints of their own data. Now, we’re giving bricks-and-mortar retailers the 20:20 vision needed to drive meaningful performance across key challenges, from LP, efficiency and safety to operational enlightenment and new levels of customer insight, all on one platform,” commented Som Sinha, CEO of SAI Group.

Scurri

Stand W68

Scurri helps retailers simplify and automate multi-carrier management across markets, as well as offering premium delivery options, such as next-day and weekend services, and branded tracking and proactive communications that reduce “Where Is My Order?” (WISMO) queries.

It will showcase the Track Plus platform, which is designed to improve operational efficiency while elevating delivery as a strategic touchpoint.

In addition to live platform demonstrations, the Scurri team will highlight emerging trends in ecommerce delivery, including the continued growth of expedited services, the importance of transparent tracking communications, and the role of data in improving both customer satisfaction and carrier performance.

Sensormatic

Stand G60

Sensormatic will be exhibiting in RTS’ new Cyber & Loss Prevention Zone, which features cutting-edge innovation to help retailers navigate rising cyber risk.

Sensormatic will showcase its solutions which transform bricks-and-mortar stores into dynamic hubs of intelligence, from enhancing CX, to reducing loss across the supply chain and accelerating business growth. This includes its new FLEX system, a new storefront engagement platform that combines visual merchandising, retail media network offerings and loss prevention technologies.

Sensormatic will also be celebrating 60 years of operating at the forefront of the retail tech sector this year, with an anniversary happy hour on its stand in the afternoon of Day 1.

Sitoo

Stand M30

Unified commerce solution, Sitoo, will be focusing on ‘flowfulness’ at RTS 2026, highlighting innovation that bridges the gap between stores and digital channels, and highlighting how POS sits at the heart of bricks-and-mortar operating systems.

It will also be showcasing its Sitoo Recognition feature, which de-anonymises shoppers in-store, as well as the power of loyalty-linked payments solutions.

Away from the show floor, Sitoo will be hosting a pre-RTS networking breakfast with Zebra on Wed 22 April from 8am – 10.30am at Good Hotel (a few minutes walk from the ExCeL). Offering a relaxed networking environment, it will provide retailers with great conversations and open discussions on how tech is shaping modern retail experiences.

Visualsoft

Stand E48

Unified retail agency, Visualsoft, will be showcasing a connected retail environment through an interactive ‘mini shop’ experience on its stand.

Visitors will be able to see its POS system in action alongside connected apps and digital signage, bringing to life how physical and digital retail can operate as one.

The set-up is designed to demonstrate how an integrated approach to commerce supports consistent CX, enhances data flows between channels and delivers more confident decision-making across retailers’ touchpoints.

x-hoppers

Stand K20

Smart, AI-powered retail communications platform, x-hoppers, will showcase new agentic capabilities that connect store teams to supercharge operations, enhance CX and improve security.

This will include live demos of its latest agentic AI-embedded wireless headsets, which give frontline retail teams the power to act in real-time, bringing answer-engine level intelligence to colleague-customer interactions.

New for 2026, x-hoppers will also showcase its new mobile app, which extends communications beyond the headset to support flexible, device-agnostic collaboration as well as BYOD capabilities.
