Vinted has dubbed this coming Sunday (04 Jan 2026) as ‘Sell-It Sunday’, which is expected to be the UK’s busiest day for post-Christmas re-selling on its pre-loved platform.
The number of listings on Vinted is tipped to be x3 higher than usual on Sell-It Sunday, as consumers use the Twixmas period to decide whether to ‘love or list’ Christmas gifts as the New Year provides a “natural moment” to declutter.
“Sell-It Sunday isn’t just the moment unwanted gifts get a second life. It’s become a national reset, a day when millions of people turn clutter into cash,” said Jessie de la Merced, VP Corporate Affairs at Vinted. “It shows how second-hand shopping continues to grow as a smart, stylish choice for 2026.”
Vinted’s research suggests that over half of Brits have over £400 worth of unused items in their homes, while 16% could have more than £1,000 of goods they could declutter and turn into cash.
Last year, women’s toiletries and perfumes were among the most listed categories, however fashion is expected to dominate Vinted’s post-Christmas 2025 listings, followed by entertainment and electrical goods.
