TGJones, formerly known as WHSmith, has entered into a new partnership with Blue Light Card, a UK-based discount service for emergency services, NHS and social care workers, teachers and the armed forces, which will offer discounts ahead of Christmas.
With 5.5million+ members across the country, the Blue Light Card now has over 18,000 brand and retail partners, including Samsung, Debenhams, Boohoo, Currys and Halfords. The scheme offers savings, discounts and benefits to its membership that often aren’t available to the general public.
From 02 Dec 2025, Blue Light Card members shopping with TGJones will be entitled to a 20% discount across purchases made online and in-store on top of any existing offers or promotions. The offer will run up until Christmas Eve (24 Dec 2025), after which it will then revert to the standard 10% discount for Blue Light Card holders, which can be redeemed all year round.
“We want to show our appreciation for the frontline workers who work tirelessly throughout the year to support communities across the UK, and the double discount with [a] Blue Light Card is a fantastic way to start,” said Emma Smyth, Commercial Director at TGJones. “We hope our introductory offer spreads some festive cheer and makes Christmas shopping a little bit brighter.”
“At a time when frontline workers are feeling the pinch and often working long shifts, we’re pleased to partner with TGJones to offer Blue Light Card members further ways to save this Christmas,” Neil Caldicott, CMO at Blue Light Card, commented. “We’re proud to help their budgets stretch further this year.”
