eBay has partnered with out-of-home (OOH) delivery provider InPost to give UK buyers and sellers the option to send and receive packages via its lockers and parcel shops for the first time.

“Making it easier, and as simple as possible, to list and ship items is a priority for our sellers and for eBay. Working with InPost to expand the options available for millions of shoppers across the UK is the latest way we’re seeking to enhance the convenience of the eBay experience for our customers,” said Eve Williams, VP and GM of eBay UK.

The partnership integrates InPost’s nationwide locker and parcel shop network into eBay’s Simple Delivery service.

Shoppers will now be able to collect their purchases at a time and location that suits them, avoiding missed deliveries. For sellers, the partnership gives their customers greater delivery choice.

Peter Blackburn, International Commercial Director at InPost UK, commented: “Partnering with eBay marks another important step in our long-term strategy to make out-of-home delivery the first choice for consumers and retailers across the UK. Through this partnership, we are giving millions of eBay buyers and sellers a new level of convenience and flexibility over how they send and receive their parcels and bringing the strength of our nationwide locker and out-of-home (OOH) network to one of the UK’s most established online marketplaces.”

Locker delivery continues to grow in popularity with UK shoppers, and InPost has doubled parcel volumes year-on-year. This latest partnership with eBay follows other collaborations with Vinted and ASOS to offer OOH deliveries.
