Uber Eats and autonomous delivery tech provider, Starship Technologies, have announced a global collaboration to roll out autonomous robot fulfilment services across multiple markets, including the UK, EU and North America.

Starship already operates a fleet of 2,700+ delivery bots in 100+ cities globally, and first launched in the UK in Milton Keynes in April 2018.

The new partnership will enable Uber Eats to offer next-gen delivery experiences to its consumers, and will see Starship’s AI-powered robots go live in Leeds in Dec 2025.

The delivery bots will operate at ‘Level 4’ autonomy, and will be able to fulfil orders in under 30minutes within a 2mile radius.

“Together, we’re building the infrastructure that will define the next generation of urban logistics,” said Ahti Heinla, co-founder and CEO of Starship Technologies, adding that it aimed to “bring scalable autonomous technology that works profitably at city-scale.”

“Autonomous delivery is an exciting part of how we see the future of Uber Eats,” said Sarfraz Maredia, Global Head of Autonomous at Uber. “Together with Starship, we’re bringing this future to life, leveraging Uber’s global scale and Starship’s proven autonomy to deliver efficient and affordable experiences for consumers and merchants.”

Further Uber Eats x Starship roll outs are confirmed for further European markets in 2026, with U.S. expansion planned for 2027.
