Online marketplace, Not On The High Street (NOTHS), has launched a new AI shopping assistant, The Curator, to aid product discovery ahead of Black Friday and help shoppers curate ideas for Christmas gifting.
Available on NOTHS’ app, The Curator helps shoppers explore products from over 5,500 independent businesses which sell through its platform.
Using natural language search – and able to understand nuance and intent beyond simply keywords – it makes personalised, shoppable recommendations from over 350,000 products listed on the marketplace.
“Powered by AI, it does the searching and sorting for you by understanding budget, personality, occasion and spotlights creative picks, avoiding unnecessary searching and scrolling.”
Lorin Minxhozi, Lead Product Manager, NOTHS
The Curator also allows customers to create saveable ‘shortlists’ across multiple searches or shopping missions. It stores shoppers’ favourite purchase ideas alongside the AI assistant chat conversation, so they can revisit and refine their search at any time.
“We built [The Curator] to make finding the right product at Not On The High Street simpler and more delightful,” said NOTHS’ Lead Product Manager, Lorin Minxhozi,
“We’re coming into the thick of the Christmas shopping season,” said Rachel Wells, Brand & Creative Director at NOTHS. “We had a strong desire to give people the ability to find products that uniquely fit their specific needs, rather than needing to always scroll through our large product catalogue.
