HIVED, the fully electric parcel delivery network, has expanded its service outside London and is now live in eight new locations across the country.

In what it describes as its first major expansion in its mission to revolutionise parcel delivery nationwide, its service is now available in eight cities and towns including Bath, Bournemouth, Brighton, Bristol, Portsmouth, Poole, Southampton and Worthing.

In London, HIVED has delivered more than 6.5 million parcels for its retail partners such as Nespresso, Liberty of London, H&M, Gousto and John Lewis.

It has been fully operational in these new locations since early September, delivering for several of its existing customers.

Murvah Iqbal, CEO and Co-founder at HIVED, said: “We were founded because we believe people deserve a better parcel delivery experience. We provide a service to millions of end consumers that is modern, reliable, and more transparent than what has come before. Our retail partners are constantly asking us when we will be expanding, and we are delighted to be meeting that demand.”

The expansion follows HIVED’s recent $42 million Series B funding round.

“We have big ambitions for nationwide coverage, and this step outside of London will mean people across these new cities will enjoy the same high delivery standards that have driven our growth in the capital. This is the first of many geographic expansion milestones, all of which will provide more consumers and ecommerce brands with the exceptional levels of service that are now associated with HIVED,” added Iqbal.

In September, HIVED announced it was expanding its service offering to include electric haulage and long-distance transportation, connecting cities and distribution hubs across the country with its fleet of electric HGVs.
