Fresh technology provider, Afresh, has launched a raft of new AI-powered solutions within its Fresh Store Suite, offering grocery retailers a unified system for managing perishable produce – from inventory management to demand forecasting and waste reduction.
With new and enhanced solutions that optimise how grocers manage fresh operations, its Fresh Store Suite provides a single source of inventory insight across departments and simplified daily tasks and workflows for associates to improve operations.
The suite’s Fresh Replenishment system combines inventory management, demand forecasting and ordering, helping stores reduce time-consuming full-department item counts while re-ordering is 50% faster. This improves operations, driving efficiencies and freeing store staff from repetitive manual tasks, so they can divert time to customer service.
Meanwhile, its new Period-Ending Inventory solution streamlines labour-intensive month-end counting processes. Instead of starting counts from scratch, teams simply verify Afresh’s Intelligent Inventory, saving hours of overtime while improving stock accuracy.
“Our continued innovation with the Afresh Platform and Fresh Store Suite helps partners maximise profitability and fight food waste, ”said Matt Schwartz, CEO of Afresh.
Afresh said its solutions are currently being used at leading grocers, including Albertsons, and, together with its partners, it has prevented over 100million pounds of food waste while driving business results, including a -25% shrink reduction and a +3% sales uplift.
