Topshop has announced it will return to the High Street later this month as part of a tie-up with iconic designer department store, Liberty.

Hot off the heels of its Return To The Runway event, marking the launch of its standalone website, Topshop and Topman will make a return to physical retail with a UK-first in-store residency at Liberty from 28 August 2025.

Debuting with a brand takeover in Liberty’s atrium, Topshop and Topman will showcase its new collections inside the iconic London store, just a stone’s throw from its former flagship on Oxford Street, which is now home to IKEA.

“This launch is about reconnecting with our community in real life, and we’re excited to kick things off with a full Liberty atrium takeover,” Michelle Wilson, MD at Topshop, commented.

More than a return to retail

Billed as being “more than a return to retail” by the brand, the immersive shopping space will feature a curated edit, including directional tailoring, cult denim, statement dresses and everyday essentials, available exclusively at Liberty.

It will also feature experiential, visual moments throughout the Liberty atrium, celebrating the creative spirit and future-facing energy of both brands.

“Through Topshop and Topman, we want to bring the best of fashion to everyone,” Wilson said. “We’re thrilled to return to UK stores through Liberty — a brand that shares our passion for creativity, nurturing talent and pushing boundaries.”

A meeting of two iconic brands

Lydia King, Buying and Merchandising Director at Liberty, said that the iconic London shopping destination has “always been about discovery – curating the most exciting talent and ideas under one roof.”

“Partnering with Topshop brings a new layer to that experience; it’s a meeting point of two iconic British names, both with deep roots in London style,” King added. “This residency celebrates the city’s creativity and energy, offering our customers something unexpected.”
