Pinterest has launched the Thrift Shop, which allows users to browse and shop vintage and pre-loved finds directly on the platform.

In its Autumn Trends Report, Pinterest highlights the popularity of second-hand shopping, or ‘thrifting’, especially amongst Gen Z – who account for more than half of its user base. Searches for “dream thrift finds” on the platform have increased by +550% amongst this cohort from April to June this year.

Male users are also embracing the trend with searches for “second-hand outfits for men” having increased by +31% in the same timeframe. The trend also extends beyond wardrobes; ideas for “second-hand kitchens” and “second-hand decor” have increased dramatically, up +1,012% and +283%, respectively.

Launching today (20 August, 2025) and running until 26 Sept 2025, the Thrift Shop enables users to shop pre-owned goods by partnering with vintage and thrift retailers while also tapping industry tastemakers for weekly closet drops on the platform.
