eBay’s Endless Runway, a global circular fashion initiative, will return for a second year to key Fashion Weeks, including London and New York, next month.
eBay’s Endless Runway reflects the permanent shift in how consumers shop, as they increasingly make second-hand their first choice for fashion.
The global re-sale market surged to $205billion last year, marking its fourth consecutive year of double-digit growth. On eBay alone, nearly 40% of all clothing, shoes and accessories sold in 2024 were pre-loved and users on its platform searched for ‘vintage’ more than 1,200 times a minute.
As shoppers’ interest in re-sale continues to grow, eBay’s ambition is to lead the charge toward a more sustainable, fashionable future while making it easier than ever for consumers to choose and buy pre-loved items.
Its 2025 Endless Runway will feature new partnerships with top fashion designers, including ERDEM, LUAR, Altuzarra, Kallmeyer, and Ahluwalia, in collaboration with leading fashion councils, including the British Fashion Council.
From archive runway pieces to pre-loved staples, each runway collection will make a bold statement about the power of pre-loved fashion and the relevance of circularity. In addition, eBay will present its own pre-loved runway shows, which will also be shoppable in real time via eBay Live, during London Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week.
“eBay is where vintage finds, pre-loved pieces and emerging designer fashion converge — offering the most dynamic selection, for the most diverse fashion marketplace in the world,” said Alexis Hoopes, VP of Global Fashion at eBay.
“With eBay Endless Runway, we’re continuing to prove that pre-loved fashion is leading the global conversation around circularity,” Hoopes added.
