Lincolnshire Co-op has partnered with Trust Retail, a Trust Payments company, to deploy a dynamic inventory management system across its 99 food stores and filling stations. The move aims to improve stock accuracy, optimise inventory levels as well as enhancing operational efficiencies.

The system will provide accurate stock information for Quick Commerce (Q-commerce) customers purchasing through third-party platforms, such as Just Eat and Uber Eats, improving consistency between physical and digital channel inventory.

Leveraging the solution to enhance product availability will help Lincolnshire Co-op increase customer satisfaction, while optimised inventory levels will deliver greater efficiency. The system will also reduce store associates’ workload by automating manual processes and simplifying inventory operations. This will free staff from administrative stock tasks, allowing them to focus on customer service delivery to enhance in-store CX.

Lincolnshire Co-op will also leverage the solution to unlock data-driven insights to support growth across its operations.

“We’re happy to partner with Trust Retail to enhance our in-store inventory management capabilities,” Andy Warman, Chief Transformation Officer at Lincolnshire Co-op, commented. “This solution will not only increase our stock file accuracy to drive sales and reduce waste, but also simplify operations and reduce workload for our store teams so they can focus on our customers.”

“As a co-operative focused on delivering value to our members and communities, ensuring we have optimal stock levels is crucial to our continued success,” Warman added.

“We’re delighted Lincolnshire Co-op has chosen Trust Retail’s Inventory Management solution to modernise their stock management processes,” Mike Dotson, Managing Director of Trust Retail, said. “We look forward to supporting them in achieving greater efficiency and enhanced customer satisfaction through improved stock accuracy.”

The implementation of the Trust Retail solution is already underway, with plans for an initial launch across all locations in early 2026. Looking ahead, Lincolnshire Co-op is also considering how it can leverage Trust Retail’s expertise in AI and Machine Learning (ML) to further enhance its inventory management capabilities.
