Workforce management (WFM) solution provider Legion Technologies has announced the appointment of Marcus Beaver, who joins as Strategic Advisor to support the business as it scales across the UK and Europe.

With extensive experience across HR and Payroll technology, Beaver
joins from Human Capital Management (HCM) services provider, Strada. As Country Leader for UK&I at Strada, Beaver led the growth of its UK&I business, advising on transformation consulting, systems implementation, and change management.

As well as his in-depth knowledge of the HR landscape, having held senior roles at Accenture, KPMG and Oracle, Beaver brings experience of partnering with SAP, Workday and Oracle. Leveraging this in his strategic advisory role at Legion, he will be primarily responsible for helping to build and scale the business’ presence across the UK and EU.

As retailers face ongoing challenges, employers are under growing pressures to attract, retain and engage frontline workers. Yet, against a backdrop of rising costs, which YOOBIC and Retail Economics estimate will top an additional £5.6billion this financial year, a third of UK businesses plan to reduce headcount in response to April’s rise in employers’ NICs, with one in five (20%) having already cut jobs.
