DHL Ecommerce UK will partner with HubBox to make it easy for retailers to offer out-of-home (OOH) deliveries and enhance shopper experiences across international orders. 

Seamlessly integrating HubBox’s ‘pickup at checkout’ software, the partnership will allow customers to choose from thousands of DHL Parcel Pickup points across the UK and Europe, widening retailers’ cross-border delivery offerings, simplifying fulfilment operations and driving cost efficiencies.

Speed, reliability and sustainability lead shoppers’ delivery demands

The partnership also taps into to evolving consumer demands within delivery experiences, with fast fulfilment, reliability and greener options key considerations for shoppers, according to DHL’s Global Online Shopper Trends Report. Meanwhile, low cost fulfilment also ranks highly, with HubBox’s own research of 1,000 U.S. shoppers showing over half (56%) would consider using a local package collection point if it meant lower delivery costs.

Playing for flexibility and convenience

By consolidating deliveries to one central location, retailers can reduce the number of individual trips required, lowering carbon emissions. It also builds in greater flexibility by allowing shoppers to collect parcels at a time that suits, rather than being locked-in to home delivery windows. 

Offering the largest global network of OOH locations, DHL will become the first carrier to offer customers the option to collect international deliveries at almost 150,000 Parcel pickup points within its cross-border network.
