Triumph Motorcycles has completed its strategic transition to a composable technology stack, anchored by a Product Information Management (PIM) system from Akeneo, the Product Experience (PX) company. This has enabled the iconic motorcycle brand to manage and tailor its product offering across global markets to drive international growth.
With its its legacy tech infrastructure lacking the flexibility and scalability required for international expansion, Triumph faced challenges growing its global operations. Fragmented product data was also leading to inconsistencies and errors, which were negatively impacting CX and further impeding global growth efforts.
The motorcycle brand embarked on a strategic transition to a composable technology stack, with Akeneo PIM as its foundational layer. This allowed it to streamline product data management and enhance operational efficiency to accelerate international growth.
Deploying Akeneo, Triumph can now efficiently manage product introductions, enhancements and localisations, supporting a tailored approach in each market via a centralised hub for clean, enriched product data. Additionally, a new governance model within the PIM ensures greater control for product enrichment, helping to address previous challenges with data integrity.
“Product experience is the keystone for global commerce,” Justin Thomas, VP Sales for EMEA North at Akeneo, commented.
“By integrating Akeneo PIM as a foundational layer to its composable tech stack, Triumph has created a single source of truth for all product data. This allows information to be efficiently translated, localised and put into context for each location and sales channel, ultimately delivering profitable and sustainable growth.”

Following the digital transformation, in the past year Triumph has successfully expanded operations into the U.S., France and Germany, thanks to being able to quickly and accurately adapt product information to meet the specific needs of each new international market.
