Asda is piloting a new George stand-alone concept store that, if successful, will replace its Asda Living brand portfolio across the UK.
Taking place in the Asda Living store at Crown Point Retail Park in the supermarket’s home city of Leeds, the trail will see a new layout to showcase the best of George clothing and homeware. It will also sell toys and essential baby items, as well as Asda’s latest ‘Kitchen’ concept eatery.
It also promises faster, easier shopping thanks to streamlined checkouts, new self-serve options and hassle-free Click & Collect to boost customer experience.
“This latest transformation is all about making shopping easier and more inspiring with the George brand at its heart. We believe this new approach, along with our focus on value, quality and standout hero categories will continue to differentiate us in the market.”
Liz Evans, CCO George & Retail Stores, Asda
“As retail habits evolve and customer expectations rise, we remain committed to delivering exceptional choice and an experience that continues to meet – and exceed – the needs of today’s shopper,” Asda’s Chief Commercial Officer George and Retail stores, Liz Evans, said. By showcasing the best of its non-food offering conveniently under one roof, Asda seeks to create a seamless shopping experience for its customers, she explained.
