Ecommerce logistics enabler, InPost, has signed an eight-country, multi-year delivery contract with second-hand marketplace, Vinted.
The partnership, which runs until the end of 2027, will give second-hand sellers on Vinted access to fast and eco-friendly delivery options using InPost’s network of over 82,000 lockers and Pick Up Drop Off (PUDO) points. Delivery to its parcel locker network cuts last-mile emissions by as much as 98% compared with door-to-door service, InPost claims.
“This agreement underscores our commitment to providing reliable and more sustainable delivery solutions, and we look forward to contributing to Vinted’s continued success,” Rafał Brzoska, Founder & CEO at InPost, commented. VP of Vinted Go, Vytautas Atkočaitis added that the partnership “aligns perfectly with our commitment to provide sellers with efficient, affordable delivery solutions.”
The deals will span the UK, Poland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal and Spain, including services through InPost’s Mondial Relay unit. It will also provide significant volume from Vinted’s millions of members as InPost targets becoming Europe’s largest logistics operator, following its strategic acquisition of Yodel last week.
Now Europe’s leading second-hand fashion marketplace, Vinted recently announced the launch of its first-ever brand platform, ‘New Again’, which will pave the way for expansion beyond clothing, while supporting the growing trend for second-hand fashion. Vinted’s latest Impact Report revealed that two thirds (65%) of its members’ wardrobes are made of a quarter of pre-owned items, highlighting the continued demand for greener fashion and desire to consume more sustainably.
