Store operations platform for frontline retail teams, YOOBIC, has announced its acquisition of SimpliField, a mobile platform for retail performance and operations.
This strategic consolidation comes at a time when retailers are under intense pressure to modernise store operations and enhance the employee experience. With UK retailers facing £5.6billion in additional costs this financial year after wage tax rising from the October Budget came into effect, retailers are searching for new ways to enhance productivity among their workforces. According to Deloitte’s 2025 Retail Outlook, 69% of retail CIOs plan to increase investment in frontline store technology to support unified retail commerce, reduce attrition and boost workforce resilience.
“With costs rising and customer expectations at an all-time high, retailers can’t afford to gamble on under-powered frontline teams,” said Fabrice Haiat, CEO of YOOBIC. “This is a make-or-break moment where efficiency, growth, and profitability are directly tied to the frontline’s success.
“Productivity isn’t just an advantage; it’s the bottom line. With SimpliField, we’re not just acquiring powerful technology, we’re gaining deep operational expertise and trusted relationships with some of the most iconic global brands. Together, we’re delivering the digital workplace that helps retailers move faster, execute sharper and maximise every moment.”

YOOBIC’s mobile-first platform tackles the challenges retail leaders are racing to solve; empowering frontline employees with seamless task execution, communication and training tools to drive engagement, productivity and retention. Earlier in April, Morrisons announced it would leverage YOOBIC’s solution to power frontline communications and task management across its store estate as part of its “commitment to innovation and employee engagement.”
“Joining YOOBIC allows us to scale our mission faster and create even more impact for frontline teams,” said Georgeta Dumont, General Manager of SimpliField. “We share a common vision of a world where every store associate has the tools and insights to do their best work every day. Together, we can now deliver on that promise at a truly global scale.”
The acquisition positions YOOBIC to meet rising demands across a broad spectrum of retail segments, including luxury, beauty, grocery and QSR, helping brands improve execution, close the loop between HQ and the field, and unlock powerful insights from frontline operations.
